The local chapter of Soroptimist International for Lafayette, Moraga and Orinda. This is a service
organization for women which has chapters throughout the United States and in some foreign countries. The emphasis of the organization is to improve the lives of women and children everywhere.
COMMONWEALTH CLUB OF CALIFORNIA
The Commonwealth Club is an organization which presents a variety of programs to keep its members informed about current events and numerous subjects of interest. Some of its programs are broadcast on NPR. Sylvia has joined the arts, cultural currents and international relations sections.
